History of Classis Georgetown

In 1988 a decision was made that the classes of Grandville and Zeeland had both become too large, so a new classis was born consisting of churches in eastern Ottawa County. This was named Classis Georgetown. The oldest organized church in Classis Georgetown is Zutphen CRC, which was organized in 1880.  The most recently organized church is Alive ministries, in 2014.  We also have a church plant called Strong Tower Ministries.  In total, there are currently 18 congregations that are working together to transform lives and communities.
